Study Summary

This trial is testing whether or not blocking stress hormones will help improve outcomes for people with severe burns.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for adults aged 18 to 90 who have suffered burns covering more than 25% of their body. It's not suitable for those who are critically ill at the point of admission or if a decision has been made not to treat them because of the severity of their burn injuries.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study is testing whether propranolol, a drug that blocks stress signals in the body, can improve recovery after severe burns by reducing inflammation and other harmful responses. Participants will be randomly given either propranolol or a placebo.See study design
