Study Summary

This trial will test whether an 8-week exercise program can help improve fitness in people with atrial fibrillation.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for adults over 18 with a BMI between 27 and 40 who have atrial fibrillation that comes and goes or stays (paroxysmal or persistent). It's not for pregnant women, those unable to follow a cardiac rehab program, or if they can already do high-intensity exercise.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study tests if an 8-week structured cardiac rehab program using stationary bikes improves heart-lung fitness in patients with atrial fibrillation. Participants' fitness levels will be measured before and after the program.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
While specific side effects are not listed, typical risks of exercising may include muscle soreness, fatigue, shortness of breath during activity, and in rare cases, cardiovascular events like heart attacks.
