What is the purpose of this trial?

The purpose of this prevention study is to evaluate the design and usability of a newly developed asthma education protocol with the Human Support Robot (HSR) for children with asthma.

Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?

This trial is for children with asthma. It's designed to test a new way of teaching them about their condition using a robot called the Human Support Robot (HSR).

Inclusion Criteria

I have attended a robotic education session.

I am a child and I agree to take part in the study.

Caregivers or Parents: The participant must be willing and able to participate

Exclusion Criteria

My child is under 18 years old.

My child does not want to join the study.

I am a caregiver, and the participant does not want to join the study.

Screening

Participants are screened for eligibility to participate in the trial

Participants receive standard asthma education, with or without the support of an artificially intelligent robot, during a single clinic visit

Participants are monitored for feasibility and acceptability of the Human Support Robot, including enrollment and completion rates, session length, and technical issues

Trial Overview

The study compares standard asthma education methods against an innovative approach that uses the HSR to deliver asthma education. The focus is on evaluating how well-designed and user-friendly this new protocol is.

How Is the Trial Designed?

Group I: Standard Education Plus Artificially Intelligent Robot (AIR) Support Intervention (Experimental) Experimental Treatment 2 Interventions

Participants in this arm will receive standard asthma education plus one artificially intelligent robot supported education session during a single clinic visit lasting approximately 15 minutes.

Group II: Standard Asthma Education (Control) Active Control 1 Intervention

Participants in this arm will receive one standard asthma education session during a single clinic visit lasting approximately 5 minutes.
