Group I: Intervention after One WeekExperimental Treatment1 Intervention
This arm will have baseline data on air pollutant levels, stove use and range hood use collected for one week prior to receiving an educational intervention aimed at increasing use of the range hood. Data following the intervention will be collected for an additional week.

Frequently Asked Questions

These questions and answers are submitted by anonymous patients, and have not been verified by our internal team.

Are there any eligibility criteria for enrollment in this clinical experiment?

"This research project is enrolling 20 children in the age group 6-12, with a history of air pollution exposure. Notably, applicants must reside in either Richmond or San Pablo and their home should have both a gas stove and an external range hood vent."

Answered by AI

Is there still the chance for individuals to enroll in this trial?

"According to clinicialtrials.gov, this research activity is still recruiting participants. The trial was originally opened on May 24th 2021 and edited for the last time November 9th of the same year."

Answered by AI

Does the research protocol allow for applicants aged twenty-five and above?

"According to the study parameters, only participants aged 6-12 are acceptable. Subsequently, 123 minors and 206 seniors were enrolled in this particular trial."

Answered by AI

What is the ultimate goal of this clinical research endeavor?

"The primary objective of this trial, over a fortnight for the 'Intervention after 1 week' cohort and one week in the 'Intervention After 2 weeks' cohort, is to accurately assess home Nitrogen Dioxide levels prior to intervention. Additionally, spirometry-based Forced Expiratory Flow (FEF), Forced Vital Capacity (FVC) and Forced Expiratory Volume in One Second (FEV1) will be assessed as secondary outcomes via Easy One Air Spirometers; personnel shall receive thorough training on how to administer these tests."

Answered by AI

What is the total sample size of this research endeavor?

"Affirmative. Clinicaltrials.gov indicates that this research, which was initially posted on May 24th 2021 is currently recruiting patients. Approximately 20 individuals will be required at a single medical facility."
