- My child was treated for an asthma attack in the CHM emergency department.You are currently having thoughts of hurting yourself or someone else.I or my child do not have cognitive impairments that prevent understanding of the research.My child has been to the ER or admitted to the hospital 2+ times in the last year for asthma.My child is between 12 and 16 years old and has moderate to severe asthma.The youth or parent has schizophrenia or other severe mental illness with hallucinations or delusions.
- Group 1: Reach for Control
- Group 2: Michigan MATCH
- No Placebo-Only Group - All patients enrolled in this study will receive some form of active treatment.
- Screening: It may take up to 3 Weeks to process to see if you qualify in this trial.
- Treatment: The duration you will receive the treatment varies.
- Follow Ups: You may be asked to continue sharing information regarding the trial for 6 Months after you stop receiving the treatment.

To be eligible, these minors must present with moderate-to-severe persistent asthma, should reside within 20 miles of CHM (for home data collection), and need a parent/legal guardian's permission for participation in family treatment."
