CEREBRO Trial Summary

This trial aims to reduce risk of Alzheimer's disease in older Latinos by creating evidence-based Spanish-language, Latin dance and physical activity programs that can be adapted for remote delivery.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for Latinos over 65 with mild cognitive impairment, who speak Spanish and exercise less than once a week. They should not need daily caregiving, have severe health issues like uncontrolled heart disease or diabetes, recent fractures, pacemakers, stroke history, or severe COPD.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study tests two home-based physical activity programs designed to reduce Alzheimer's risk and improve life quality in older Latinos: BAILAMOS™ @home/en casa (a Latin dance program) and ¡En Forma y Fuerte! @home/en casa (an adapted fitness program). Participants will be randomly assigned to one of these programs.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
Since the interventions involve physical activity programs tailored for older adults with arthritis and cognitive decline risks, side effects may include typical exercise-related discomforts such as muscle soreness or fatigue.
