Study Summary

This trial is testing whether people who have surgery to remove part of their lung can be safely discharged the same day.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for adults over 18 who are set to have a minor lung surgery called an elective minimally invasive wedge resection. They must not be pregnant, heavy smokers, or have certain heart risks or poor lung function. People with cognitive issues affecting daily life or untreated sleep apnea can't join.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study is testing if patients can safely go home the same day they have a specific type of lung cancer surgery (wedge resection). It involves close monitoring of participants after their procedure to see if early discharge is possible.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
Since this trial focuses on the timing of discharge rather than a medication, there aren't direct side effects from interventions like drugs. However, typical risks associated with minor surgeries may include pain at the incision site and postoperative complications.
