This trial is for employees of bars, including liquor servers, security officials, or owner/managers. Participants must work at a bar not previously involved in Safer Bars training within the last year and be legally allowed to serve alcohol (over 19 years old). What is being tested?
The study is testing the effectiveness of the Safer Bars program aimed at preventing sexual assault. It will take place across three different sites where some bars receive immediate training while others are assessed first for four months before receiving it.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
Since this trial involves an educational prevention program rather than a medical intervention, traditional side effects are not applicable. However, participants may experience discomfort or emotional responses related to discussing sensitive topics like sexual assault.
