MEET-OS Trial Summary

This trial will compare a new surgical platform to the current standard of care in order to evaluate its effectiveness and cost.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for adults over 18 who are having elective outpatient surgery under general or regional anesthesia. They must have internet access at home and understand French or English. It's not for those who can't use digital tech, if the surgery changes to inpatient on the day, or if the patient refuses.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study evaluates a new telecare platform called LeoMed for patients after outpatient surgery. Participants will either use the complete LeoMed application or a basic version to see how it affects their recovery and satisfaction compared to standard care.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
Since this trial involves using an application rather than medication, traditional side effects aren't expected. However, there may be issues related to usability of the app or discomfort with technology that could affect patient satisfaction.
