Dr. DeAngelis sent me home when I was only 1 cm dialated, despite the fact that I was having contractions that lasted 60 to 90 seconds and were 2 to 4 minutes apart. I continued to feel contractions only in my back the entire labor. I left the hospital, but I came back an hour later because I felt the urge to push while at home. When they checked me again, I was at 9 cm.
