Study Summary

This trial is studying how well functional near-infrared imaging works in measuring brain activity. Researchers will compare results from this imaging to results from functional magnetic resonance imaging.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for healthy adults over 18 years old. It's not suitable for those with skin diseases, latex allergies, vascular diseases, or any condition that the lead researcher thinks would make participation unsafe. Participants must be able to consent to the study.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study tests a non-invasive brain imaging technology called fNIR against standard fMRI results. Volunteers will wear a headband with light sources and detectors while performing tasks like reading or counting to measure brain activity.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
Since this trial involves non-invasive techniques and behavioral measures without drugs or invasive procedures, significant side effects are not expected. However, discomfort from wearing the headband may occur.
