Study Summary

This trial seeks to test the effect of telemedicine breastfeeding support on breastfeeding duration for mothers who deliver late preterm.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for mothers aged 18-49 who started breastfeeding and delivered a late preterm baby (34-37 6/7 weeks). They must enroll within one week after giving birth and have access to a smartphone, tablet, or computer. It's not for those who are incarcerated, can't communicate in English, or if the baby has conditions like cleft lip/palate affecting breastfeeding.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The LIFT study is testing whether special breastfeeding support through telemedicine can help improve how long mothers of late preterm babies breastfeed. The goal is to see if this tech-based support makes a difference compared to the usual care these moms get.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
Since this trial involves non-medical interventions like telemedicine support rather than drugs or medical procedures, there aren't typical side effects. However, participants may experience issues related to technology use such as privacy concerns or technical difficulties.
