Study Summary

This trial is studying how well BBR 3464 works in treating patients with small cell lung cancer that has spread to other parts of the body and has not responded to other treatment.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for adults with metastatic small cell lung cancer that hasn't improved after first-line chemotherapy. Participants must not have had a heart attack in the past year, uncontrolled blood pressure or arrhythmias, congestive heart failure, or angina. They should have no brain metastasis symptoms and at least one measurable lesion. Effective contraception is required if fertile.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The trial tests BBR 3464's effectiveness on patients with advanced small cell lung cancer who haven't responded to initial treatment. It's a Phase II study which means it focuses on the drug’s efficacy and side effects in a larger group of people than Phase I.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
While specific side effects of BBR 3464 are not listed here, common ones from similar chemotherapy drugs include nausea, fatigue, increased risk of infection due to low blood counts, hair loss, mouth sores and potential damage to organs such as the heart or kidneys.
