- It takes me more than 290 seconds to complete a long walk test.I do not have severe heart problems like heart failure, aortic stenosis, or uncontrolled chest pain.You have been diagnosed with severe memory or thinking problems, or you scored less than 24 on a memory and thinking test.My blood pressure is over 140/90 even though I'm on three or more blood pressure medications.You don't exercise regularly, with less than 150 minutes of moderate physical activity per week.You recently had a heart attack, as shown in an ECG.I am 60 years old or older.Your blood pressure is too high (above 180 over 110).I agree to all study procedures and allow communication with my doctor.I have high blood pressure, treated or untreated.You are allergic to ACE inhibitors, but you can still participate in the study if you are assigned to a different treatment.I have chronic kidney disease.Your blood test shows high levels of creatinine, which could indicate kidney problems.Your liver enzymes are higher than they should be.Your blood potassium levels are not in the normal range.You have high levels of protein in your urine.
- Group 1: Perindopril
- Group 2: Losartan
- Group 3: HCTZ
- No Placebo-Only Group - All patients enrolled in this study will receive some form of active treatment.
- Screening: It may take up to 3 Weeks to process to see if you qualify in this trial.
- Treatment: The duration you will receive the treatment varies.
- Follow Ups: You may be asked to continue sharing information regarding the trial for 6 Months after you stop receiving the treatment.
