- I will likely need pain medication that contains opiates during the study.You have had an allergic reaction to NTX in the past.I am sexually active with other men.My liver is functioning well enough for a medication trial.I have started or changed my mental health medication or therapy in the last 3 months.You are currently addicted to drugs (except nicotine) or have been addicted to opioids in the past.You must be willing to decrease your alcohol consumption to a safe level.You drink too much alcohol regularly, more than what is considered safe.You have a serious problem with alcohol, including experiencing severe withdrawal symptoms or using alcohol to cope with withdrawal.You have been taking strong pain medications called opioids regularly in the past month.
- Group 1: active medication + psychotherapy
- Group 2: placebo + psychotherapy
- Group 3: active medication+brief supportive counseling
- Group 4: placebo + brief supportive counseling
- All Individual Drugs Already Approved - Therapies where all constituent drugs have already been approved are likely to have better-understood side effect profiles.
