- I will be prescribed opioids after surgery while in the hospital.I have not used opioids daily in the last 30 days.I am between the ages of 5 and 15.I am having surgery that will keep me in the hospital overnight.I have been taking prescribed opioids daily for pain for at least 30 days before surgery.I can understand and use an iPad for the study's app, with or without help.I (or my legal guardian) can communicate in English or Spanish.
- Group 1: Group 1 (Spellbound)
- Group 2: Group 2 (Spellbound)
- No Placebo-Only Group - All patients enrolled in this study will receive some form of active treatment.
- Screening: It may take up to 3 Weeks to process to see if you qualify in this trial.
- Treatment: The duration you will receive the treatment varies.
- Follow Ups: You may be asked to continue sharing information regarding the trial for 6 Months after you stop receiving the treatment.

Who is eligible to participate in this clinical research?
"This medical trial is searching for 34 patients with malignancies between the ages of 5 and 15. The list of requirements to be eligible include: fluency in English or Spanish, undergoing a significant surgery related to cancer that requires postoperative hospitalization longer than two hours and at least one night, prescribed daily opioids prior to the operation over 30 days long, possessing cognitive capabilities sufficient enough utilize mobile technology (iPad with/without assistance) as well as interact with AR within an app determined by the clinician., consent from both patient and legal guardian are necessary, age range limited due to lack of interest from older adolescents (>15)."
