Study Summary
This trial is testing a new way of providing well-child care that focuses on the needs of the parents and that is supported by a health educator ("Parent Coach"). The goal is to see if this new approach decreases the reliance on the clinician as the primary provider of well-child care services.

"This clinical experiment seeks 914 individuals in the 18-65 age range who are currently receiving preventive health services. Furthermore, these criteria must be met: For multiple gestations, one infant is randomly chosen as the main subject; participants with special medical needs will not be disqualified from this study since they require similar preventative care; parent or legal guardian must have a proficient command of English or Spanish language; and the visit to well child check up lasts 2 weeks to 12 months."
What is the primary aim of this research endeavor?
"The purpose of this clinical trial is to analyse patient healthcare utilisation, specifically Emergency Department visits in the 12 months following enrolment. Parents will be asked to report on their receipt of preventive care services and experiences with care providers as well. Electronic medical records will also be reviewed after a year for up-to-date Well Child Care Visits."
