Study Summary

This trial will study the effects of eating strawberries on blood sugar, insulin resistance, and other markers of heart health.

Who is the study for?
Adults with prediabetes or metabolic syndrome can join this trial. They must have blood glucose levels between 100-125 mg/dL, HbA1c less than 6.5%, waist size over 40 inches for men or 35 inches for women, and insulin resistance above 1.0 without diabetes medication. Smokers, heavy drinkers, pregnant/lactating individuals, or those allergic to strawberries cannot participate.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study is testing if consuming freeze-dried strawberry powder can improve blood sugar control and reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes in adults with prediabetes/metabolic syndrome over a period of 28 weeks in a controlled crossover study.See study design
