This trial will test whether patients who receive formal preoperative education from an occupational therapist or physical therapist have less postoperative pain, better function, and greater overall satisfaction than patients who receive only standard education in the MD clinic.

Who is the study for?

This trial is for adults over 18 who speak English and are scheduled for upper extremity orthopedic surgery. It's not open to those under 18 or patients opting for non-surgical management of their condition.Check my eligibility
