- I use progesterone-only birth control or have irregular periods.My liver and kidney functions are within normal ranges.I am taking medication that affects insulin sensitivity.I am between 18 and 50 years old.I have a history of high blood sugar or diabetes.I have a history of heart attack, heart failure, cancer, or anorexia nervosa.I have a history of hormone-related disorders or neuroendocrine tumors.I am a healthy man or woman.I am a male not required to use birth control.
- Group 1: decaylated ghrelin
- Group 2: combined acyl and desacyl ghrelin
- Group 3: saline
