Benralizumab for COPD

Phase 3 study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of a benralizumab in patients with moderate to very severe COPD with a history of frequent COPD exacerbations and elevated peripheral blood eosinophils (≥300/μL).
Eligible patients must have a history of ≥2 moderate and/or severe COPD exacerbations in the previous year despite receiving triple (ICS/LABA/LAMA) background therapy for at least 3 months and ICS-based dual inhaled treatment for the remainder of the year. Eligible patients must also have an elevated blood eosinophil count.
The treatment period will be of variable duration and will continue until the last patient has the opportunity to complete a minimum of 56 weeks, at which point all patients will complete the study. The primary endpoint will be analyzed at Week 56.

Chemotherapy + Atezolizumab for Breast Cancer

The main purpose of this study is to learn if the usual chemotherapy given before surgery (neoadjuvant therapy) for breast cancer plus the experimental drug, atezolizumab, is better than the usual chemotherapy plus a placebo. (A placebo is a drug that looks like the study drug but contains no medication.) The usual chemotherapy in this study is paclitaxel (WP) and carboplatin followed by doxorubicin and cyclophosphamide (AC) or epirubicin and cyclophosphamide (EC). Usually, after neoadjuvant therapy and surgery for triple negative breast cancer, no additional treatment is given unless the cancer returns. This study will also look at continuing treatment after surgery with atezolizumab or the placebo. To be better, atezolizumab given with the neoadjuvant therapy should be better at: 1) decreasing the amount of tumor in the breast than the placebo given with the usual chemotherapy and 2) decreasing the chance of the cancer from returning after surgery.
Another purpose of this study is to test the good and bad effects of atezolizumab when added to the usual chemotherapy. Atezolizumab may keep your cancer from growing but it can also cause side effects.

This study will look at the long-term effects of semaglutide (active medicine) on diabetic eye disease when compared to placebo (dummy medicine). This phase III trial studies ibrutinib and rituximab to see how well they work compared to fludarabine phosphate, cyclophosphamide, and rituximab in treating patients with untreated chronic lymphocytic leukemia or small lymphocytic lymphoma. Ibrutinib may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Chemotherapy drugs, such as fludarabine phosphate and cyclophosphamide, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Rituximab is a monoclonal antibody. It binds to a protein called CD20, which is found on B cells (a type of white blood cell) and some types of cancer cells. It is not yet known whether fludarabine phosphate, cyclophosphamide, and rituximab may work better than ibrutinib and rituximab in treating patients with untreated chronic lymphocytic leukemia or small lymphocytic lymphoma.

Atezolizumab + Talazoparib for Small Cell Lung Cancer

This phase II trial studies whether atezolizumab in combination with talazoparib works better than atezolizumab alone as maintenance therapy for patients with SLFN11-positive extensive-stage small cell lung cancer. Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as atezolizumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. PARPs are proteins that help repair damage to DNA, the genetic material that serves as the body's instruction book. Changes (mutations) in DNA can cause tumor cells to grow quickly and out of control, but PARP inhibitors like talazoparib may keep PARP from working, so tumor cells can't repair themselves, and they stop growing. Giving atezolizumab in combination with talazoparib may help lower the chance of extensive-stage small cell lung cancer growing and spreading compared to atezolizumab alone.

This randomized phase II trial studies how well abiraterone acetate and antiandrogen therapy, with or without cabazitaxel and prednisone, work in treating patients with castration-resistant prostate cancer previously treated with docetaxel that has spread to other parts of the body. Dabrafenib + Trametinib for Melanoma

This phase II trial compares the effect of dabrafenib and trametinib given continuously to given with a break in treatment (intermittent) in treating patients with stage III-IV melanoma that cannot be removed by surgery and contains a B-Raf proto-oncogene, serine/threonine kinase (BRAF) mutation. Dabrafenib and trametinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Giving dabrafenib and trametinib with intermittent dosing may be as effect as when given continuously in treating patients with stage III-IV melanoma with a BRAF mutation that cannot be removed by surgery.
