RECOVER Supplement for Muscle Recovery
What You Need to Know Before You Apply
What is the purpose of this trial?
This trial tests a new recovery supplement called RECOVER, designed to help active individuals recover more quickly after exercise. It examines RECOVER's effectiveness in reducing soreness, inflammation, and muscle damage, thereby maintaining strength and performance. Participants will receive either the RECOVER supplement or a placebo (a harmless, inactive substance) for comparison. This trial suits recreationally active individuals who have avoided intense exercise and supplements like protein powders for at least a week. As an unphased trial, it provides a unique opportunity to contribute to research that could improve recovery for active individuals.
Will I have to stop taking my current medications?
You will need to stop using tart cherry extract, protein powders, essential amino acids/BCAAs, collagen/collagen peptides, and anabolic agents at least 1 week before and during the study. You also cannot take NSAIDs or other anti-inflammatory medications during the study.
Is there any evidence suggesting that RECOVER is safe?
Research shows that Liquid IV's RECOVER supplement has been studied for its safety and effectiveness in aiding muscle recovery. Although detailed safety information from these studies is limited, the product is part of Liquid IV's popular range, widely used by many. Some Liquid IV products contain high levels of sugar and salt and may include caffeine, which might not suit everyone, especially those sensitive to caffeine or monitoring sugar intake. As with any supplement, consulting a healthcare provider is advisable, particularly if there are health concerns or conditions.12345
Why are researchers excited about this trial?
RECOVER is unique because it offers a new approach to muscle recovery with its proprietary post-workout recovery supplement in a convenient liquid form. Unlike traditional methods that might rely on basic hydration or protein intake, RECOVER combines specialized ingredients targeting faster muscle recuperation. This could potentially reduce soreness and speed up recovery time, making it especially appealing for athletes and fitness enthusiasts looking for quick, effective results. Researchers are excited about its promise to enhance recovery beyond what standard protein shakes or electrolyte drinks can offer.
What evidence suggests that RECOVER might be an effective treatment for muscle recovery?
In this trial, participants will receive either the RECOVER supplement or a placebo. Previous studies have shown that hydrogen-rich water can enhance muscle performance in the legs, such as improving jump height after exercise. This suggests that hydrogen-rich drinks might aid in muscle recovery. Additionally, research shows that IV therapy, which can include similar nutrients, is absorbed by the body at a rate of 90-100%, compared to only 20-50% from pills or drinks. This indicates that the body might benefit more from these treatments. Participants using the RECOVER supplement in this trial may experience better muscle recovery, less soreness, and improved performance after exercising. These findings suggest that RECOVER could effectively support muscle recovery and maintain performance.13467
