What is the purpose of this trial?

The study will evaluate whether videos can improve understanding of diabetic eye disease, and follow-up rates in the eye clinic.

Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?

Inclusion Criteria

I have been diagnosed with diabetes.
I can speak and understand English or Spanish.
My clinic visit is for diabetes or diabetic eye care.

Exclusion Criteria

Unable to view or understand the videos due to significant vision obstruction or impairment

Timeline for a Trial Participant

Screening

Participants are screened for eligibility to participate in the trial

2-4 weeks

Intervention

Participants receive video-based explanations of diabetic retinopathy to improve understanding and follow-up rates

12 months
Regular visits as per eye clinic schedule

Follow-up

Participants are monitored for follow-up adherence and diabetic retinopathy progression

12 months
