This trial tests a new program that combines group art activities and SMARTfit exergaming to determine its impact on thinking skills and physical health in older adults. Participants will engage in these activities once a week for 24 weeks at the Buffalo-Niagara YMCA. The trial seeks community-dwelling older adults who are fluent in English and have some memory issues but not severe cognitive impairment (mild cognitive impairment or less). As an unphased trial, this study provides a unique opportunity to explore innovative methods for enhancing cognitive and physical health.

Inclusion Criteria

MoCA score ≥ 24 points
No contraindications to exercise guided by the American College of Sports Medicine
Fluent in English

Exclusion Criteria

Condition preventing safe participation in exercise as determined by the Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire for Older Adults (PAR-OA)
Severe psychiatric illness
Likelihood of withdrawing from the study due to severe illness or life expectancy of < 6 months
