What You Need to Know Before You Apply

What is the purpose of this trial?

This trial tests a new skin treatment to improve skin quality, focusing on hydration, elasticity, and radiance. It uses a multivitamin serum with polynucleotides (small DNA fragments) from fish, which have been linked to skin regeneration and anti-inflammation. Participants will undergo microneedling—a procedure using tiny needles to rejuvenate the skin—followed by the application of this serum, known as VAMP™ ADVANCED. Individuals with stable skincare routines seeking to enhance their facial skin appearance might be a good fit. As a Phase 4 trial, this research involves an FDA-approved treatment, aiming to understand its benefits for more patients.

Do I have to stop taking my current medications for the trial?

You may need to stop certain medications before joining the trial. Specifically, you should not use topical corticosteroids, retinoids, or depigmenting agents in the treatment area within 4 weeks before the trial. Also, avoid immunosuppressive therapy, systemic corticosteroids, or chemotherapy within 3 months before the trial. If you take medications that affect bleeding, like anticoagulants or NSAIDs, you should stop them 14 days before the trial.

What is the safety track record for VAMP™ ADVANCED?

Research has shown that VAMP™ ADVANCED, a multivitamin serum, contains ingredients such as polynucleotides, amino acids, and vitamins. These components are known to aid in healing and reducing inflammation. PDRN, a key ingredient derived from fish, has been used to heal wounds and improve skin elasticity and smoothness.

The serum aims to enhance skin moisture, flexibility, and glow. While early research suggests potential benefits, further studies are needed to confirm its safety and effectiveness. VAMP™ ADVANCED is currently being tested in a later stage of clinical trials, indicating it has likely been found safe in earlier tests. This suggests the serum is likely well-tolerated, though participants might still experience mild side effects, which is common with skin treatments.12345

Why are researchers enthusiastic about this study treatment?

Researchers are excited about VAMP™ ADVANCED for cosmetic skin health because it combines microneedling with a multivitamin serum application, potentially enhancing skin rejuvenation better than standard treatments like topical retinoids or hyaluronic acid serums alone. Unlike other treatments, VAMP™ ADVANCED leverages microneedling to create tiny channels in the skin, allowing the multivitamin serum to penetrate more deeply and work more effectively. This combination is believed to boost collagen production and improve skin texture and tone, offering a unique approach to skin health that could yield impressive results.

What evidence suggests that VAMP™ ADVANCED might be an effective treatment for cosmetic skin health?

In this trial, participants will receive treatments involving VAMP™ ADVANCED combined with microneedling. Studies have shown that PDRN, a key ingredient in VAMP™ ADVANCED, improves skin moisture, color, and strength. Derived from fish DNA, this ingredient helps repair and reduce inflammation. It aids in healing wounds, improving scars, and refreshing the skin. When combined with microneedling, VAMP™ ADVANCED delivers active ingredients deep into the skin, enhancing its flexibility and glow. Early clinical data showed noticeable improvements after just one session, although more research is needed to confirm long-term benefits. Participants in Group A will receive treatments every two weeks, while those in Group B will receive treatments every four weeks.12567
