What You Need to Know Before You Apply

What is the purpose of this trial?

The purpose of study is to compare the side effects of two different forms of radiation for endometrial and cervical cancer. If you decide to enroll in this study, you will be randomized to one of two treatment groups. This study will compare two standard of care treatments: "Conventional" pHoton radiation versus pRoton radiation.

Inclusion Criteria

I am able and willing to sign a consent form for the study.
I have newly diagnosed endometrial or cervical cancer and am planning to receive chemo and radiation.

Timeline for a Trial Participant

Screening

Participants are screened for eligibility to participate in the trial

2-4 weeks

Radiation Treatment

Participants receive either Photon Radiation Therapy (VMAT) or Proton Radiation Therapy (IMPT) for pelvic nodal irradiation

6-8 weeks

Follow-up

Participants are monitored for safety and effectiveness after treatment, including assessment of acute gastrointestinal toxicity and lymphocyte values

2 years
Regular visits over 2 years
