RSLV-132 for Sjögren's Syndrome

Santa Clarita, California
The goal of this clinical study is to learn if RSLV-132 improves the symptoms of SS in adults. It will also learn about the safety of RSLV-132. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Does RSLV-132 improve the cardinal symptoms of Sjogren's including fatigue, dryness and pain? * Does RSLV-132 improve the tiredness/fatigue caused by Sjogren's? * What are the blood levels of RSLV-132 over time? * What is the immune (antibody) response in the body to RSLV-132? * What is the safety profile of RSLV-132? Researchers will compare RSLV-132 to a placebo (a look-alike substance that contains no drug) to see if RSLV-132 improves the symptoms of pSS. Participants will: Take RSLV-132 or a placebo 13 times over 22 weeks Visit the clinic once every week for the first 2 weeks, then every 2 weeks until the end of treatment and then for a final time 4 weeks later (Day 211) for check-ups, tests and to answer questionnaires about their symptoms Record their symptoms every day on an electronic device

This study is open to adults with chronic kidney disease (CKD) that is at risk of getting worse. People who have taken a specific type of medication for kidney disease called SGLT2 inhibitor within 1 month before the study or have certain health conditions cannot take part in this study. The purpose of this study is to find out whether a medicine called vicadrostat, used in combination with another medicine called empagliflozin, works in people with chronic kidney disease. In this study, participants are randomly assigned to one of two groups. Participants have an equal chance of being assigned to either group. In one group, participants take the 2 study medicines, vicadrostat and empagliflozin, every day for 3 months. In the other group, participants take placebo and empagliflozin for the first 1.5 months, and then they take vicadrostat and empagliflozin together for the next 1.5 months. The study medicines are taken orally as tablets. Placebo tablets look like vicadrostat tablets but do not contain any medicine. Participants are in the study for about 4.5 months. During this time, they visit the study site multiple times. Doctors regularly test kidney function by measuring specific proteins in the blood and urine. The results are compared between the two groups to see whether there are differences between starting the study medicines at the same time or one after the other. The doctors also regularly check participants' health and take note of any unwanted effects.

This randomized phase II trial studies how well trastuzumab and pertuzumab work compared to cetuximab and irinotecan hydrochloride in treating patients with HER2/neu amplified colorectal cancer that has spread from where it started to other places in the body and cannot be removed by surgery. Monoclonal antibodies, such as trastuzumab and pertuzumab, may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cetuximab and irinotecan hydrochloride, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving trastuzumab and pertuzumab may work better compared to cetuximab and irinotecan hydrochloride in treating patients with colorectal cancer.

Why Other Patients Applied

"I've been struggling with ADHD and anxiety since I was 9 years old. I'm currently 30. I really don't like how numb the medications make me feel. And especially now, that I've lost my grandma and my aunt 8 days apart, my anxiety has been even worse. So I'm trying to find something new."

ADHD PatientAge: 31

"My orthopedist recommended a half replacement of my right knee. I have had both hips replaced. Currently have arthritis in knee, shoulder, and thumb. I want to avoid surgery, and I'm open-minded about trying a trial before using surgery as a last resort."

HZ
Arthritis PatientAge: 78

"I've tried several different SSRIs over the past 23 years with no luck. Some of these new treatments seem interesting... haven't tried anything like them before. I really hope that one could work."

ZS
Depression PatientAge: 51

"I changed my diet in 2020 and I’ve lost 95 pounds from my highest weight (283). I am 5’3”, female, and now 188. I still have a 33 BMI. I've been doing research on alternative approaches to continue my progress, which brought me here to consider clinical trials."

WR
Obesity PatientAge: 58

"I have dealt with voice and vocal fold issues related to paralysis for over 12 years. This problem has negatively impacted virtually every facet of my life. I am an otherwise healthy 48 year old married father of 3 living. My youngest daughter is 12 and has never heard my real voice. I am now having breathing issues related to the paralysis as well as trouble swallowing some liquids. In my research I have seen some recent trials focused on helping people like me."

This clinical trial tests feasibility, acceptability and how well a virtual mental health intervention, compared to enhanced usual care consisting of an educational intervention, works to address fear of progression for women with high risk or stage III-IV gynecologic or breast cancer. Worrying about cancer coming back or progression is natural for cancer patients. Many cancer patients face stress and uncertainty as they live longer and attend regular check-ups. A supportive program can help to develop skills to feel calmer and more resilient during uncertain times and better manage feelings of fear. The virtual mental health intervention may be a feasible, acceptable and effective may to address fear of progression for women with high risk or stage III-IV gynecologic or breast cancer.

Use of Biocellular and cellular approaches to treatment of Osteoarthritis (OA), musculoskeletal aging processes, pain, and degenerative changes are to be studied with minimally invasive protocols, and non-pharmaceutical means to relieve OA and its associated issues. Traditional surgical interventions have not yielded convincing long-term outcomes, including total joint replacement surgeries and medical management of the supportive structures. This study is to use a person's own stem/stromal Cells (autologous) plus HD-PRP (important healing growth factors and signal molecules) in such cases of OA for long-term minimally invasive treatments. Baseline (existing) findings are documented, and thence tracked as to progress deemed to be result of the intervention.

The goal of this clinical trial is to test an intervention to reduce stigma among people living with HIV who use opioids and cocaine. The main question it aims to answer is: \- Does reducing internalized stigma about HIV and/or drug use lead to improved HIV care outcomes? After a year spent adapting an existing intervention to be applied specifically among people living with HIV who use substances, 70 participants will be randomized to receive either treatment-as-usual or the newly adapted intervention. The intervention itself will consist of five one-on-one sessions with a trained interventionist to discuss and work through the stigmas people commonly associate with HIV and/or substance use.

This clinical trial evaluates the impact of telehealth self-management coaching sessions on quality of life in pancreatic cancer survivors and their family care givers (FCGs). Patients with pancreatic cancer experience many symptoms because of the disease and treatment, which can have a negative impact on quality of life. Patients and their families have unmet needs during treatment, including a lack of quality of life programs that offer support to patients. Supporting patients and families on managing the physical symptoms, emotional well-being, social well-being and spiritual well-being with telehealth self-management coaching sessions may help improve quality of life, manage symptoms from treatment, and support families in their role as caregivers during treatment.
