GCM is a contract manufacturing services provider with operations in Silicon Valley, Chicago and Dongguan,China. Well positioned as a strong middle market organization, GCM has the technical resources, quality management systems, and the proven ability to scale with large customers in demanding markets. GCM's target markets include Med-Tech, aerospace, and diversified industrial.

GCM is seeking a Key Account Manager to join our growing team focused on enhancing our customer's experience. The ideal candidate will not only have a strong sales background but also be enhanced if they've worked as a project manager. We prefer a degree in Mechanical Engineering and experience in the Med-Tech industry is a plus.


  • Own all aspects of the account and GCM's performance at the account, working closely with GCM functional teams to ensure they understand the details associated with each deliverable and the overall account strategy
  • Identify new business opportunities and understand GCM's position relative to competitors at the account and define strategic plans to address competitive threats
  • Identify solutions proactively by utilizing the knowledge of GCM's capabilities, resources, and skills
  • Manage Quarterly Business Reviews, Capacity Planning meetings, weekly production calls and other customer meetings as required
  • Review all RFQs and Quotes to ensure alignment with business requirements and account plans


  • Must be a team player as measured by his/her peers both within GCM and the Key Account(s)
  • Primary Point-of-Contact for the Key Account(s)
  • Create an Account Plan, leveraging a deep knowledge of the Key Account and all roles within the account
  • Maintain customer databases


  • Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent education
  • 3-7 years of progressive experience developing customer relationships
  • Experience in a contract manufacturing environment
  • Med-Tech industry experience a plus
  • Personally committed to owning the outcome of identified results with a proven record of success and ownership when achieving goals
  • Strong aptitude for mechanical parts, design, fabrication and machining
  • Ability to maintain and build existing business with a focus on increasing penetration into existing projects, getting specified on new programs, understanding and communicating customer's project, product, and NPI program plans
  • Proactively address concerns and potential issues prior to them negatively impacting business
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Excel, Word
  • Experience using an ERP system for data extraction
