Summary

This trial tests how an app can help people with job loss-related mental health issues get back to work.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for individuals aged 18-65 who are unemployed but actively seeking work, previously worked full-time for at least a year with a salary up to $100,000, own a smartphone, and have some level of depression. It's not for those currently working or studying full-time, or with alcohol/substance use disorders or history of mania/psychosis.
What is being tested?
The study tests an app-based program designed to assist people dealing with job loss-related emotional distress in finding employment again. Participants will be randomly assigned to either use the DRIVEN Application along with career resources or receive only the career resources without the app.
What are the potential side effects?
Since this trial involves non-medical interventions like an application and career resources, there are no direct medical side effects. However, participants may experience varying levels of stress or anxiety as they engage with the process.
