Study Summary

This trial will compare the effects of a one-day online CBT-based workshop for postpartum depression delivered by trained lay peers, to usual care alone. The study will aim to determine if the online workshop can improve PPD more than usual care, if it is cost-effective, and if it can reduce the impact of common comorbidities and complications of PPD.

Group I: Waitlist ControlExperimental Treatment1 Intervention
The waitlist control group will receive care from usual healthcare providers and will receive the intervention at the conclusion of the study period (T2, 12 weeks after enrollment).
Group II: Immediate TreatmentExperimental Treatment1 Intervention
The experimental (immediate workshop) group will receive the online workshop at baseline (T1). The experimental group will also receive care as usual from their healthcare providers.
