Study Summary
This trial will develop a mobile app to help both clinical providers and patients navigate the process of transitioning from pediatric to adult care for youth living with HIV.
Who is the study for?
This trial is for young adults living with HIV who are about to switch from pediatric to adult care. Participants must be over 18, planning healthcare transition (HCT) within 6 months, and receiving care at specific clinics. They should own a smartphone or tablet with consistent internet access. Healthcare providers involved in HCT can also participate.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The trial is developing 'iTransition', a mobile app designed to support youth living with HIV and their clinical providers during the critical shift from pediatric to adult healthcare services.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
Since this intervention involves using a mobile app rather than medication, traditional side effects are not expected. However, users may experience stress or anxiety related to technology use or reminders of their health condition.
