- You have had a previous surgery to revise or correct a previous procedure.If you smoke tobacco, it can slow down the healing of bones and increase the chance of bones not healing properly.You are currently involved in another clinical research study.You should not have taken any experimental drugs in the 30 days before joining the study.You have existing health conditions that affect how your body processes Vitamin D and calcium, such as kidney or liver problems, genetic disorders related to Vitamin D metabolism, or issues with your parathyroid gland.You have open wounds on your legs that could increase the risk of infection and slow healing.You have certain medical conditions like diabetes, poor blood circulation, or problems with bone health that could make it harder for your bones to heal.
