High-Dose Radiation + Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy
for Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer
This trial tests whether adding a precise form of radiation therapy to the usual treatment improves outcomes for patients with advanced lung cancer that can't be operated on. The goal is to see if this combination helps patients live longer and prevents cancer from worsening. This form of radiation therapy has shown promise in improving survival rates in patients with various stages of lung cancer.

Thoracotomy vs Thoracoscopy
for Metastatic Osteosarcoma
This phase III trial compares the effect of open thoracic surgery (thoracotomy) to thoracoscopic surgery (video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery or VATS) in treating patients with osteosarcoma that has spread to the lung (pulmonary metastases). Open thoracic surgery is a type of surgery done through a single larger incision (like a large cut) that goes between the ribs, opens up the chest, and removes the cancer. Thoracoscopy is a type of chest surgery where the doctor makes several small incisions and uses a small camera to help with removing the cancer. This trial is being done evaluate the two different surgery methods for patients with osteosarcoma that has spread to the lung to find out which is better.

Crizotinib
for Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer
This randomized phase III trial studies how well crizotinib works in treating patients with stage IB-IIIA non-small cell lung cancer that has been removed by surgery and has a mutation in a protein called anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK). Mutations, or changes, in ALK can make it very active and important for tumor cell growth and progression. Crizotinib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking the ALK protein from working. Crizotinib may be an effective treatment for patients with non-small cell lung cancer and an ALK fusion mutation.
