Study Summary

This trial will test the effects of a new treatment called Photovoice on confidence, falls, daily activities and quality of life for people with spinal cord injury.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for adults over 18 with spinal cord injury (SCI) who have fallen at least once since their injury. They must be living in the community, able to understand English, and use the internet. People with other conditions affecting balance or a progressive form of SCI are not eligible.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study tests 'Photovoice,' a program combining photography and discussion to improve confidence in balance, reduce falls, enhance daily activity participation, and life quality for those with SCI. It includes photo tasks, interviews, group meetings over six weeks led by an SCI individual and a therapy or kinesiology expert.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
Since Photovoice involves non-medical interventions like photography and dialogue rather than drugs or surgery, it's not expected to have physical side effects. However, discussing experiences might bring up emotional responses.
