Study Summary

This trial looks at whether a parent-based treatment for childhood anxiety disorders can help children by reducing their reliance on parents to reduce anxiety.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for children with a primary anxiety disorder diagnosis, an IQ of at least 80, and who are prepubertal. They shouldn't have any mental illness more severe than their anxiety or certain neurological disorders. What are the potential side effects?
Since the interventions involve behavioral therapy and parental education without medication, there are no direct medical side effects expected from this trial. However, participants may experience stress or emotional discomfort during treatment sessions.
