Study Summary
This trial is looking at how different addictions affect the brain. They will be doing this by looking at the synaptic density in the brains of people with cocaine or opiate addiction, and comparing it to people without addiction.

- You are currently taking blood thinning medication.You meet the specific criteria for Cocaine Use Disorder or Opiate Use Disorder as defined in the DSM-5.You have a history of having seizures (uncontrolled shaking or convulsions).You have a history of being dependent on substances like alcohol or sedative hypnotics, but not nicotine.You have a history of serious and uncontrolled medical conditions like heart problems, diabetes, or neurological disorders.You are currently taking medications that can affect your mental state.
- Group 1: Opiate Use Disorder (OUD)
- Group 2: Cocaine Use Disorder (CUD)
- Group 3: Healthy Controls (HC)
- No Placebo-Only Group - All patients enrolled in this study will receive some form of active treatment.
- Screening: It may take up to 3 Weeks to process to see if you qualify in this trial.
- Treatment: The duration you will receive the treatment varies.
- Follow Ups: You may be asked to continue sharing information regarding the trial for 6 Months after you stop receiving the treatment.
