Multidisciplinary Tapering Program for Hyperalgesia
Study Summary
This trial is testing a new way to help people with chronic pain who are taking opioids. Healthcare team members will provide an all-day educational workshop that focuses on risks and misconceptions related to opioids, as well as training in "Acceptance and Commitment Therapy" - a method of thinking about and reacting to pain. The goal is to see if this changes attitudes towards reducing opioid doses to a safer level.
