Study Summary

This trial will test if a non-invasive brain stimulation technique is safe and tolerable for people with cocaine, opioid, or alcohol addiction.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for veterans aged 18-70 with substance use disorders (SUD) related to cocaine, opioids, or alcohol. Participants should have a stable treatment regimen for at least 6 weeks and meet safety criteria for MRI exposure. It excludes those with severe brain injury, aneurysms, pregnancy, active suicidal thoughts, CNS tumors, seizures, psychotic disorders, stroke or unstable medical conditions.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study is testing the safety and tolerability of synchronized transcranial magnetic stimulation (sTMS), a non-invasive brain stimulation technique. Participants will either receive the actual sTMS or a sham version without active stimulation to compare effects on SUD.See study design
