Frequently Asked Questions
Are researchers currently enrolling volunteers for this experiment?
"As documented on clinicaltrials.gov, the recruitment period for this medical trial has concluded. The study was initially posted on September 7th 2014 and last adjusted in March 17th 2022. Though no longer looking for participants, there are over 2,300 other active studies searching for patients right now."
What objectives is this research trying to fulfill?
"The primary purpose of this 16-week trial is to measure changes in telomerase activity with Trypan blue and ImagedQuant. In addition, secondary outcomes encompass functional capacity (assessed using repeated measures ANOVA), telomere length (quantified through quantitative PCR paired t-tests) along with cardiopulmonary function (also evaluated via repeated measures ANOVA). Further analysis may be conducted to account for any potential confounding factors related to differences between the two groups such as body mass index or exercise intensity."
