Why did patients apply to this trial?

I have tried extreme challenges working out 6 days a week for 2&1/2 hours and little to no carbohydrates. Once I eased on this extreme diet and exercise. I gained back the weight. Also. Have been on medication and did not work. I am now pre-diabetic. Diabetes runs in my family.
