Study Summary

This trial will test the feasibility of using music therapy to reduce anxiety, pain, and medication use in post-lung transplant patients. It will also test if music therapy can reduce length of stay in the ICU and hospital, and improve sleep quality.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for post-lung transplant patients at UTSW Clements University Hospital starting June 1, 2021. It's not suitable for those whose chests were left open after surgery and before being taken back to the OR for closure.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study tests if live music therapy can lower anxiety and pain, reduce use of benzodiazepines and pain meds, shorten ICU/hospital stay, and improve sleep quality in post-lung transplant patients.See study design
