Study Summary

This trial will assess whether low calorie konjac products are effective at regulating appetite. It is hypothesized that replacing typical meals with konjac products will not significantly affect subsequent food intake.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for healthy, non-smoking men and women aged 18-70 with a BMI of 18-29.9 who are not on a diet. Participants should have had stable weight in the last two months and no history of significant health issues like liver or kidney disease, diabetes, hypertension, heart problems, thyroid disease, gastrointestinal diseases or AIDS.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study is testing if konjac food products can help control appetite when they replace regular meals. It's looking to see if these low-calorie foods keep people feeling full, manage blood sugar after eating without making them eat more later.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
While the trial description does not specify side effects related to konjac glucomannan (KJM-G), potential side effects from consuming KJM-G may include digestive discomfort such as bloating or constipation due to its high fiber content.
