This trial will study the difference in fat mass for people who consume sugar-sweetened vs diet beverages, as well as the effect of those beverages on hypothalamic activity.

- I have a chronic digestive system condition.I am either male or female.I am between 20 and 50 years old.I am not pregnant, breastfeeding, or trying to conceive.I have not had heart problems in the last 3 months.I have not had major surgery in the last three months.I am currently taking prescription medication for weight loss.I am currently in a weight loss program or self-help group.I have a history of cancer, except for treated skin cancer.I have a history of inflammatory bowel disease.I have a history of fatty liver.I have high blood pressure or am taking medication for it.I have had surgery to lose weight.My thyroid medication dose has been stable for the last 6 months.My menstrual cycle is irregular or I am post-menopausal.I have been diagnosed with diabetes or prediabetes.I haven't changed my prescription medications in the last 3 months.
- Group 1: Sugar Sweetened Beverages
- Group 2: Diet Beverage
- Group 3: Water
- No Placebo-Only Group - All patients enrolled in this study will receive some form of active treatment.
- Screening: It may take up to 3 Weeks to process to see if you qualify in this trial.
- Treatment: The duration you will receive the treatment varies.
- Follow Ups: You may be asked to continue sharing information regarding the trial for 6 Months after you stop receiving the treatment.
