Visine Toxicity & Overdose RiskThe most toxic dose of tetryzoline in children that has been reported is 175mg/kg. In rats, the lowest toxic dose is 785mg/kg when taken orally and 122mg/kg when given through an injection. In mice, the corresponding numbers are 345mg/kg and 110mg/kg. If a child accidentally takes too much tetryzoline, they may become very sleepy, sweat a lot, and have low blood pressure. Adults may experience high blood pressure, slow heartbeat, drowsiness, and sudden drops in blood pressure. It is important to keep the person warm and give them oxygen and fluids

5/20/2019 It does cause your pupil to dilate, as is stated clearly on the product. However, it also stopped the itching and swelling caused by pollen. I would only recommend using it on high pollen days though, as the dilation can be uncomfortable.
