The recruitment of this role is part of a pilot project partnership between CommuniHelp and it's non-profit partners. CommuniHelp is a volunteer matching platform that matches skill-based volunteers to opportunities with non-profits, charities and social enterprises.
Our partner organization is looking for a Junior Developer to help with the building of a software that helps female-focused organizations measure their impact.

You are passionate about gender and racial equality. You are enthusiastic, eager to work in a team, outspoken, transparent and keen to learn. You have some coding experience, perhaps in a co-op or on a project basis. You are a great communicator and transparent about your abilities and what you can commit to. You are organized and can prioritize your tasks well to meet short-term and long-term deadlines. Your strength is your ability to work independently and communicate with remote teams. If you're someone who loves to give back and are passionate about volunteering and equality, this role is for you!
Your work will not go beyond what is taught in a classroom. You will have access to experienced developers to oversee your work and progress. You are expected to regularly communicate with the team on Slack.
Location: Waterloo, remote work is okay as long as you are located in Ontario, Canada.
Scheduling and Hours: Flexible. Approximately 3 - 10 hours per week, depending on the week.
