Behavioural Intervention
Music and Theta Auditory Beat Stimulation for Anxiety
Recruiting0 awards4 criteria
Toronto, Ontario
This trial is investigating whether music and auditory beat stimulation can help reduce anxiety. One hundred people with moderate trait anxiety will be randomly assigned to either a combined treatment group (music & ABS), or a control group who only listens to pink noise. The trial will measure heart rate, brain activity, stress hormone levels, and state anxiety levels before and after the 24-minute treatment. The investigators predict that the music & ABS group will have better results in all measures compared to the control group.
