Behavioral Intervention
ABMT for Social Anxiety Disorder
Recruiting0 awards
Miami, Florida
This trial is testing a new treatment for social anxiety disorder in 260 youths, ages 10-14. The new treatment is called Attention Bias Modification Treatment (ABMT), and it is administered via computer. The investigators hypothesize that ABMT will be more effective than the current standard treatment, which is called the Neutral Control Task (NCT). The investigators will measure the effectiveness of ABMT using a biomarker of attention to social threat, which is measured using electroencephalography (EEG), and ratings of social anxiety severity.
